Handle With Care International recognises the invaluable role that education plays in the alleviation of multigenerational poverty. We are proud to work with our partners to provide targeted services that catch individuals missed by other organisations.
Programs include playgroups, kindergarten and BIMBEL programs for children, as well as independence classes aimed at reducing child labour, sexual abuse and exploitation. Skills training aimed at adults provide opportunities for the acquisition of new vocations. Literacy programs provide library services in small communities.
Disability inclusion is a strong focus for HWCI and our incredible partner in Lombok is fully integrated in the local community, providing skills and support services for over 240 persons with vision impairment on the island.
Our medical teams deliver education programs focussed on medicinal agriculture, healthy living, and reproductive health, as well as first aid programs adapted to local dialects and situational requirements.
