HWCI are on the ground in Bali working with our local medical team Rumah Sehat Madani to put together a response to the growing number of communities displaced by the feared eruption of Mount Agung. Since violent tremors began around Mount Agung on September 18th, thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes and many, including children, the sick, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, and the elderly, need urgent help.

Our medical team is already onsite in the vicinity of the Mount Agung evacuation areas, but we need your help to deliver the services most needed. We need funds to set up tents and blankets to shelter the sick, to establish a mobile medical clinic complete with burns unit and oxygen support in anticipation of hundreds of impacted people.

We are setting up a community kitchen with the capacity to feed 578 people and we are arranging for portable toilets and water tanks to deal with current and future shortages.

Well needed supplies are starting to flow in to effected areas.

We are trying to buy a power generator to provide electricity for the mobile medical centre equipment in anticipation of a total loss of regional electricity following the predicted eruption.

We are also feeding people. Some supplies have already been sent, but every $20 provides simple meals for 20 people.

Handle With Care International is a small organisation, but we are here on the ground and your donations will have very real impact. We are an Australian registered charity run entirely by unpaid volunteers and have received the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit commission tick for transparency and accountability.

All Australian donations over $2 are tax deductible and will go directly towards buying the items mentioned above.

Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of people displaced by this event.
